This week MSN Spaces moves closer to the portfolio of Windows Live services with the launch of its 10.5 release. This long overdue upgrade touts many user-requested features as well as introducing several major additions, including a social networking module, a revamped Profiles service and the introduction of Live Contacts. All three of these center around the concept of a unified contact list, something that we have seen present already in Windows Live Messenger. Thanks to these new services, users will be able to control who is able to interact with them and decide what information to make available to each contact.
Full details will be available from Mike Torres once the upgrade is complete.
Update: Well it looks like I got a little overexcited about this release and posted some features we won't actually be seeing in 10.5. Just so you know, we blog by these rules.
