Microsoft announces Windows Live Mobile applications

While there is nothing ground-breaking in last night’s 3GSM announcement regarding Windows Live Mobile, its worth highlighting the work the Mobile team has done in producing some great final products. Torres gets it spot on when he says “old news in the blogosphere… But for everyone else, this is pretty exciting news”

  • Windows Live integration in Windows Mobile 6, including the new mobile messaging client G2, Mail, Search and Spaces. For those mobloggers out there, you can upload photos to Spaces from within the application.
  • Live Search for mobile, now with UK Support as Harrison mentioned in his Windows Mobile 6 post. This Java application is useful for those without Windows Mobile phones, supporting these devices. Unfortunately I’m still unable to set my home location, so let me know if you have a similar problem.
