LiveSino is reporting that Microsoft will be opening up registration for @live.com email addresses this Tuesday. LiveSino, of course, is our sister site in China that translates our posts into Chinese and also has exclusive content of their own. A source at MSN China is telling LiveSino that Microsoft will open up registration to the general public for @live.com addresses. The scale of the rollout beyond the US and China is unknown right now.
While Microsoft has not officially confirmed this news, responding with a firm, “No comment,” all signs are pointing to an open registration starting tomorrow. So, stay tuned tomorrow so that you can grab that killer @live.com email address that you have been wanting.
