Windows Live Account gets Wave 3 update – Services updates start
Dec 1, 2008 8:07 pm by Chris | 9 comments
Microsoft has just switched on the new Windows Live Account, bringing with it the first of many expected services upgrades this week to Wave 3. Unfortunately the update is an anti-climax, as none of the good stuff (like Home or Profile options) are enabled until those services have rolled out.
Of course one issue with these large services being rollled out is the potential for downtime, so don’t be surprised if you see a few glitches!
Update: The signup process for Windows Live IDs has now also migrated over to Wave 3. Interestingly, the default page uses non-Windows Live email addresses as the default. So if you have a gmail or yahoo account, you can still use Messenger, Groups, Profile etc, just not Hotmail.
