Microsoft My Phone pre-registration opens in advance of Mobile World Congress

myphonelogo_thumb_6e42b271 Featured Mobile Official news of Microsoft My Phone won’t come until Steve Ballmer’s keynote at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, but you can pre-register to get in on the beta of the new service now.  The service, code named “Skybox”, will offer cloud services for mobile phone users, according to an explanation of an unexpected sneak peak at a placeholder page:

This new Microsoft cloud service syncs critical information (e.g., contacts, calendar appointments, tasks, text messages, photos, video, etc) on a user’s mobile phone to  a password protected Web site.  Once synchronized, people can easily back-up and restore mobile phone data.  My Phone provides an easy to use Web portal where people can access and manage content on the phone, and share that information with others.

Sign up now to get on the waiting list for access to the beta.
