Feel like doing something else on Thanksgiving than playing Pictionary, Risk or Trivial Pursuit? Chris Pendleton suggests the following:
Instead of breaking out the Pictionary, Trivial Pursuit or Risk you can logon to The Climate Mystery game featuring Bing Maps. The impetus for the game was to build a website about global warming in time for the COP 15 Climate Summit in Copenhagen on December 7, 2009. Four researchers who were supposed to help create the site have gone missing and what was a website dedicated to saving the Earth has been hacked and is getting continually littered with games, videos and assignments. Axel is the main developer of the site, so you’ll need to help him figure out what’s going on with the site. Follow the clues, but beware – in the videos, The Four missing researchers sometimes seem lost. Sometimes they seem to be taking part in an experiment, involving weekly Climate Assignments. So, where are The Four? Who is The Council? Can Bing Maps help you figure all of this out? It’s all very mysterious.
I have no clue how to play this, but hey I’m not that much of a gamer! Maybe you are! Give it a go!
