Microsoft-bound: local boy does good

5554.jobvenn_thumb_0400cce5 Featured News We’re very pleased to be able to announce that one of our own, LiveSide co-founder Harrison Hoffman, has accepted a position at Microsoft, and will be moving to the Seattle area this summer to begin working as a Product Manager/Evangelist for the Windows Live team.

Along with Chris Overd and Matthew Weyer, Harrison co-founded LiveSide.net, coming up with the idea during and after an MSN Beta Butterfly tour in November of 2005.  Harrison authored our very first post on January 3rd, 2006, and even after he stepped away from daily postings, he has played an instrumental role in helping to run and maintain LiveSide, and a perhaps even more important role as a confidant and true friend.

Although we’re not sure whether Harrison was hired because of his relationship with LiveSide, or in spite of it (just kidding!), we’re very proud of Harrison, wish him all the very best at Microsoft, and can’t wait to get to work with him in a whole new capacity.

Congratulations, Harrison, and congratulations Microsoft, for a great hire!
