Thank you very much for being a loyal cashback user.  We remain committed to delivering great value to our customers, and we are currently working on an exciting new program which you will hear more about from us later this summer.

Sincerely,
Bing cashback Team

The program is ending because, according to their blog post, it didn’t see the broad adoption they had hoped for. Hmm, maybe it would have if they had introduced it to other countries….

But not all is lost! What was learned will be put into new programs delivering great shopping experiences that help you make better shopping decisions, get great deals, and save time and money on the way. After all, shopping is still one of the most important tasks people engage in while using search! They also already have new ideas for merchants and advertisers to get a broader array of products and offers into Bing and will share more details on that later this summer.

I think the big problem with Microsoft iniciatives is they don’t turn it global. So they will never have massive international support for their services, like Google have.

Agreed. Even when you look at Bing UK it is still crap compared to Bing US.

I do not understand why they do not just roll out all of the features to a few more countries. I am in Australia and I use Bing US and everything works, including local search.

Shame to see Bing Cashback go, I think they may lose a bit of share because of this as a lot of people seemed to be using Bing just for the Cashback.

China has 20% of worlds internet population
        US has 14
        Japan has 6
        India has 5

Wat they can achieve by just concentrating on 14% of world population?

Markets like China and Japan are a lot different though to my understanding. It is understandable for Microsoft to release Bing is the United States as it is the location of Microsofts headquaters.

Countries like Australia, New Zealand, Canada and England should of got the full experience straight away as they are sun-what like the US.

Considering that Bing will be a big part of Windows Phone 7, people could recieve a bad experience.
