Windows Live SkyDrive synced storage is now 5GB – in preparation for Windows Live Essentials 2011 final release today!

Windows Live EssentialsWe told you last week that Windows Live Essentials 2011 final was rumoured to be coming today (September 30, 2010). Various blogs including Neowin and R27.it are now confirming this news and the final version will be available to the public at around 10AM PST.

In the final release, Windows Live Sync will be rebranded Windows Live Mesh, and will include new features and upgrade of the SkyDrive synced storage to 5GB. In fact, if you visit Windows Live Devices now, you should see that it has already been upgraded to 5GB:

Paul Thurrott also mentioned that there will be more features on its way to the final release since the beta refresh was released a little more than a month ago. We’ll keep you posted on its availability in a few hours!
