Toyota Entune – Bing and more in your car

entuneToyota today introduced Entune from CES in Las Vegas, its new built-in hardware / mobile phone application pair that brings Bing, Pandora, Open Table and more to your car’s dashboard.

Basically, you’ll be able to (after buying a new, Entune enabled, Toyota) download the Entune app to your mobile phone, connect the phone to Entune using Bluetooth, and (using the phone’s data plan), use Bing features like voice search, listen to iheartradio stations or Pandora, buy movie tickets from MovieTickets.com, or make a dinner reservation using Open Table.

From the Toyota press release:

“Toyota has always been a leader in the automotive industry, so it makes sense it would bring the latest in mobile technology to the car,” said Chris Daniels, general manager of Bing for Mobile, Microsoft Corp.  “By bringing Bing Maps and Bing for Mobile technology to the car, we are helping Toyota enhance the overall in-vehicle experience to be as rich and robust as possible, which means personalizing the information to each driver’s needs.”

There’s an animated video on the Toyota Entune page, and more information on the Bing Search blog.
