Katy Perry 2Remember that Katy Perry iPhone app sponsored by Bing? Yes, that’s the one, Katy Perry Revenge! If you liked that one, and can’t get enough of Katy Perry, then I have got some news for you!

Now there is “Katy Perry Revenge 2 by Bing,” an all-new app featuring Katy Perry’s smash hits “Firework” and “E.T.” available for free here. You can check out her tour info, follow her tweets and get her song lyrics from Bing via the app too!

This release is part of a continued effort to roll out advancements to Bing for mobile across several mobile platforms. This latest sponsored app is done in partnership with Tapulous, part of Disney Mobile. To celebrate there is also a contest! For more info on that, check out the Tapulous blog post.

    Awesome! *about to click on download “here” link, hovers and sees ‘itunes.apple.com’* Oh wait…half of Microsoft’s workforce is building a loyal base over at iWorld. Guess we WP7 users need to wait until they release the Bieber app when Mango is available…2 years from now.

    I understand that they are taking advantage of Apple’s dominance in the mobile sphere to build brand recognition with Bing and others, but how is it that they can’t spend a few more hours also developing a WP version of this silly app? Maybe Katy Perry’s deal didn’t include a WP7 app, sure, but how is Microsoft going to succeed at convincing remaining app developers to publish for the relatively tiny WP user base if Microsoft can’t muscle itself into developing for its own platform?
