Bing launches “Editors’ Picks”

As first reported by Microsoft News this weekend, Bing has launched a new service designed to enhance your experience on Bing, officially announced today as Editors’ Picks.  By compiling lists of editorially selected sites for certain topics, to “help you find what you’re looking for faster”, Editors’ Picks collect links to relevant sites that may be useful to you, but “may not always make it to the top of the search results page”.

We almost don’t need to say this, but of course the effort is US only, and we have to think not at all scalable, as it would require teams of editors from every region or locale, but whatever.

You can see a list of Editors’ Picks in the Gallery, or when a pick is available, it will show up in a navigation tab across the top of the page.
