Microsoft is trying their best to get users to switch to a later version of Windows, but that simply won’t work. Some people are going to stick with Windows XP don’t matter what.

I don’t know about XP, but it will be available as an application for Windows 7 and Vista.

Will there be an app for Window XP? If not then ah well. I can go to my Ubuntu machine and run the app under Wine, which can say that it is Windows 7.

In Windows 8 you won’t even need it for that. Favourites (as well as loads of other stuff) will sync automatically.

Microsoft should fold Windows Live Mesh into SkyDrive.
Having the two only creates confusion and is pointless.A SkyDrive desktop client combined with its document
capabilities Dropbox does not offer, as you say, would
make this a superior alternative to what Dropbox has.
