New Bing homepage goes live, now with larger featured photo and tiles

When Bing got the new Metro look in early May, they also unveiled that the homepage will feature larger daily image. Today this new homepage has gone live in US market, check it out here.

Bing also improved the “tiles” on the homepage, which now includes highlights from Bing Images and Videos. But note that this new tiles is still visually different from previous Metro-y test. ( via LiveSino)

I love how the search button is still an orange and bubbly gradient on the homepage, but metro on the search page.

That inconsistency really adds a lot to the experience! Love it.

  I don’t see any issue with them choosing to treat the home page a bit differently from other pages. The focal point is the search box/button..thats not really the case for other pages on Bing.

Too bad its ridiculous that they have a completely different version of Bing for most markets.
