Sprint announces two new Windows Phone 8 devices – HTC 8XT and Samsung ATIV S Neo

Sprint_thumb Mobile It was announced at the beginning of the year at CES 2013 that Windows Phone 8 is coming to Sprint, US’s third largest carrier, by “summer” of this year. Today, the company has officially announced two brand new Windows Phone 8 handsets to its line up – the HTC 8XT and Samsung ATIV S Neo. Check out the images below:

HTC 8XT

The HTC 8XT, previously known by its codename of HTC “Tiara”, looks similar in design to the HTC 8S, but packs a bigger screen and better internals. The HTC 8XT comes with a 4.3″ WVGA display, 1.4GHz dual-core processor, 8 megapixels main camera with a 1.6 megapixels front-facing camera, 1GB of RAM, 8GB internal storage with microSD card expansion, NFC support, as well as an 1800mAh battery. Additionally, the HTC 8XT is also the first Windows Phone 8 handset to feature HTC BoomSound, which comes with dual front-facing stereo speakers with a dedicated amplifier. The dual microphone also allows for crisp HDR audio recordings.

The device is expected to sell for USD$99.99 on contract.

Samsung ATIV S Neo

The Samsung ATIV S Neo is very similar to the Samsung ATIV S in appearance and specs. It comes with a large 4.8″ 720p display, 1.4GHz dual-core processor, 8 megapixels main camera with a 1.9 megapixels front-facing camera, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage with microSD card expansion, NFC support, and a 2000mAH battery. The device also comes with Samsung ATIV Beam app to share files with other Samsung WP8 or Android devices, and a variety of camera apps including Beauty Shot and Manga Camera.

The device is expected to sell for USD$149.99 on contract.
