Blaise Aguera y Arcas showed off some very cool new stuff from Bing Maps at TED a couple of days ago, and the video has just been posted, so here it is:

Just a note that the Streetside Photos app is available in Bing Maps now, but the World Wide Telescope, the Indoor Panoramas, and Video Overlay are coming but not yet available.  One other point that escaped mention when we first posted, Blaise talks about the video overlay being available not only on the PC, “for telepresence”, but also “on the spot, for augmented reality”.  When you use it on the spot, “it means that you’ll be able to bring all that metadata about the world, to you”.
