Messenger 9 Beta appears to be up and running

Well it didn't take long for information to start appearing about the Messenger 9 Beta - a poster over on the WinBeta Forums has posted a welcome email and some screenshots.  According to the post, the email says, in part:

Another leak.... :-(

How long will it take the team to look in the database and find who has the first name of "WOLF" in the beta.

How is it a leak, I had the email last night saying I could download it from MS Connect...

Oh, and it runs pretty good apart from a few bugs that the team should fix soon.

the new features are not spectacular but reasonable and interesting. I hope they will also make some changes to the interface too. It should and could be much more minimalistic. It is way to overloaded at the moment.

I'm kind of underwhelmed. The UI could use a cleanup by now, and apart from the multiple sign in points, there's nothing very interesting going on.

Where's the feature that'll let me use multiple Live ID's at the same time, for instance? That'd be an interesting new feature for an X.0 release.

Also, will the Vista version actually use the Aero interface now, instead of that mock-Aero interface that 8.5 has?

All I can say is, it's a bloody good job the A-Patch exists.

An other good feature would be IRC support.

Sorry Stephenof - you are welcome to post comments here, but LiveSide is not a source of leaked downloads.  Any links to them will be removed, as I have removed the one you posted.

I have already Windows Live Messenger 9, but not through Microsoft. It has been leaked. It is now circulating the Net.
