Microsoft to demo Mesh at Web 2.0 Expo

Mary-Jo Foley spotted that Microsoft are set to give a Live Mesh demo presentation during the O’Reilly Web 2.0 Expo conference at the end of April. Running from April 22nd-24th, Amit Mital the “General Manager of Live Mesh” is leading a session titled “Get Mesh!”.

As Mary-Jo picks up, the session is only 10 minutes long, meaning that either Amit is actually the faster demoer in the world, or he’s not going to show the product in an awful lot of detail. Guess we’ll have to wait and see. Judging from the title of the session it sounds promising for those who went to Mix 08 and signed up for the Tech Preview.

Of course we’re still on the Live Mesh trail, so all tips are welcome. The dogfood login page with the Live Mesh logo has now disappeared, so we’ll show it again here in case you missed it the first time around ;)

Live Mesh is a major step on the Microsoft Software+Services path, so we’re keen to see how it all pans out, especially with a more public announcement expected at PDC later this year. What with this and Yahoo, things are starting to get interesting again!
