Live Search new Home Page is here to stay

Seems like every time the new-look Live Search Home Page was tested, we happened to be online and caught it, but now the new look is here to stay.  If you don’t already see it at www.live.com you will soon.

The new look started appearing last night, and the modules that were broken on my.live.com  (the personalized home page) including at least for me the Live Clock and CBS Sportsline scores, are now working again.

xRank celebrity - what a load of BS. Go to: newlivesearch.com, there's a random demonstration there. I've seen quite a few Live Search ads recently.

Still no personalized page for English Canada. Disappointing.

I wish you could change the colour a bit. That would be good, although that would only be an added bonus.

@Kristopher why not set your settings to US?

One thing i do not like about Live Search is that if i put a post code in it does not automatically show me a map, In google a map is shown should the user search for a post code (zip code)

Looks nice, but they need to make Live Search *dramatically* better than the competition if they want to capture market share. Dramatically better in the sense that Google Maps was dramatically better than existing mapping solutions--and even still, Google Maps trails Mapquest today in market share.

I have a fair few gripes with this new version of Live Search as a whole and the new live.com homepage:

Firstly, they have taken the sidebar-like feature out of Live Search Images... WHY!?!?!?!

That was an amazing feature and allowed for easier viewing of results! This feature is what made me use Live Search Images more, over Google Image Search! It was also a very innovative feature.

Secondly, as much I do think the new user interface is MUCH better than Google's ugly appearance, I can't help but think the previous UI was much more modern (more Web 2.0-ish) and was more appealing on the eyes! I know they went for simplicity, here, but surely they could have gone in the same direction as the previous update, yet still made it more simple???

Finally, my final gripe is that the Windows Live Personalised Page still has the (now ugly to me) 'Flair' UI and no new features... TUT TUT *taps foot*!

How long has it been without an update? It also looks VERY out of place and I refuse to use it :( I think it should have the same user interface as Windows Live Home, but obviously with the feeds, pages and gadgets, instead of the static content seen on Windows Live Home.

One good thing to see is that Live Search Videos is now included if your settings are set to UK, along with all the other vital search services (News, Books, Maps, etc).

Is anybody else who is logging into to my.live.com not able to use the Windows Live ID Sign-In Assistant? Before when the "Personalized Experience" was still at Live.com, they had the Assistant so all I had to do was click on the user account I needed. I'm not going to be typying in my password each time...they better fix this.

The new Live Search home page is ugly compared to the last one. I really like the other look.

I hate the weird clash of colors, the search box not being in the center, and other things like this.

@Khristopher and calum-r- : Try using Netvibes. It's far better and more flexible than what Live has to offer.
