I'd like to understand better how installation to the sidebar works. This gadget installs to the sidebar ok from your web link but I couldn't install the gadget from the zip directly. If i change the zip file from .zip to .gadget and then right click (which seems to be what MS recommends elsewhere but you don't mention), I am prompted to install but nothing happens after I click the button: the gadget does not show up in sidebar. I notice that a copy of the gadegt file is placed in the Desktop\user\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets folder but the gadget file has a .~000 placed after it. What's up with that? Why the difference in behavior between the downloaded zip and the installable file on your web page?

One other question: where are all the other gadgets located? I see only a subset of the ones on display in my user folder mentioned above. Is there another place where they can be installed? I only have one user account and I don't see any other gadgets under the Public folder.

What does "copyright" mean?
