&lt;p&gt;There is no reason why this isn't possible. WLW talks to a defined API, metablog, I've actually been using an implimentation that allows WLW to be the editor for news, the blog and all the static text on a dotnetnuke site.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;All you need to do is write the layer that talks to Writer and applies its functionlaity to your wiki engine.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I think it is a brillant idea.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I assume there would be the need for some sort of smart plugin to make the internal links to other wiki pages though - something better then the insert hyperlink option.&lt;/p&gt;
