Expo adds new features, improves performance

Windows Live Expo, the free "social classified" ads offering, has just added some new features, including the ability to send an alert to selected members of your Messenger buddies list when you post something for sale on Expo.

In addition, the site has been optimized to show local listings on the home page, and improvements have been made around Anti-fraud and performance.

Expo is available at http://expo.live.com/

But what about people that don't want to receive alerts from people that make posts on expo? I thought alerts were about receiving content you choose and content you want.

I can't even sign up on expo to see if there is an option to change this as it's not in Canada yet. It will not accept Canadian cities or addresses when signing up. I don't see why I should be able to be sent an alert from a service I can't use. Kinda hyprocritical.

From the help file:

"The buddies that you select receive a Windows Live alert within Messenger. They can click a link to visit your listing, or choose to opt out of receiving further alerts."
