Microsoft is apparently following up on plans to purchase French mobile music company MusiWave from OpenWave, for $46 million in cash and assuming another $4 million in debt, according to an AP story on Yahoo Finance, via David Hunter at Microsoft Tracker.

Microsoft announced its intentions on Monday, but details of the acquisition were not announced until today.  MusiWave provides technology, marketing, and content for mobile operators and music companies.
