Ina Fried at CNET News is reporting that Microsoft and Research in Motion are set to announce a deal to “make it easier for BlackBerry users to reach Microsoft’s Live Search”. The announcement, reported to be coming on Thursday, will provide the option to use Live Search within the BlackBerry browser, and from RIM’s mobile portal.
Microsoft has already entered into partnerships with RIM to provide Windows Live Hotmail and Windows Live Messenger to BlackBerry users, and Live Search for BlackBerry is available currently in beta form as a download from Microsoft. While we’ll have to wait for details of the new deal, it sounds like it will make Live Search on the BlackBerry even easier.
Update: Microsoft has confirmed the arrangement in a press release
