Windows Live Messenger, A Sneak Peek At The Update To Come

As announced in Windows Live Wave 3: our interview with Brian Hall in 2 parts, there’s a new Messenger beta (RC) coming up. Over at messengersays, Lonn posted a video showing off this new version:

Yay, PhotoShare got an option to save the shared photos! Let’s hope we also get zoom capability in. I use this feature a lot myself to show screenshots, and resizing the conversation window to read parts of a screenshot isn’t really handy.

Can’t wait to get my hands on this new version!

Thank you, this is really informative!

I hope Kip mentioned to them about adding zoom functionality when he was interviewing the product manager? It would make sense to tell him important things you want to see :)

Messenger is looking more and more impressive with each iteration. It's a shame that most of my friends use AIM over this. By comparison, Windows Live Messenger is far and away the better client in terms of looks and functionality.

The photo sharing feature is the worst part of the current beta.

I used to be able to press print screen and then paste into the messenger window, and it worked well.

The way it works now is lame. I want the option to turn off that crap.
