Not sure how widespread (or valuable, for that matter) this is, but just happened to try a search using the upper-right Live Search bar in IE 8 beta 2, and was greeted with some familiar faces:

While clicking on the images takes you to the standard Live Search page, the pictures do seem to be confined to a set of X-Rank celebrities, truthfully not something we’re searching for often.  Since I’ve lost the search suggestions on www.live.com after going back and forth from IE7 to IE8, I can’t check to see if it works there or not.  Anyone?
