Coming Next Week: New Web Activities And Contact Importing From MySpace, Hi5 And Tagged

fpcomplete_thumb[1] Yes, we’ve been waiting for this! In the next few days, 20 new feed partners will be added to Windows Live, so you can add all your activities on for example Facebook, Digg, Last.fm, SmugMug, and Fotolog to your profile. Every time you do something on those sites it will turn up on your profile, and of course in your friend’s “What’s New” feed. These new additions bring the grand total of third-party content partners to more than 30!

Feed Partners:

Daum, flickr, Flixter, iLike, Pandora, Photobucket, StumbleUpon, TripIt, Twitter, WordPress, Yelp

New feed partners:

Live Journal, OverBlog, Typepad, Dailymotion, Last.fm, Zune Social, Bilddagboken.se, Fotolog, SmugMug, MSN, Digg, Arto, Dada, FaceBook, Hevre, Hyves, MClub (GMedia), MetroFLOG, Yandex, Zoo.gr

But that’s not all that is coming! Soon, MySpace, Hi5, and Tagged will join Facebook and LinkedIn as sites that let you invite your friends to Windows Live (and vice versa).

All of these updates and more (as soon as we find out what the “more” is we’ll post it here on LiveSide) will go live in the next week! I can’t wait.

In the meantime you can read this QnA with Brian Hall: Windows Live: Power Through Simplicity or watch the videos about how to add web activities and inviting friends in Rob Dolin’s post on windowslivewire.

Edit: oops, forgot Twitter. Thanks CalumJR

I'm very happy to see they added Zune Social.

@joeale, Popfly may never leave beta stage after January's layoffs.  In a way, XBox' Kodu far outshines Popfly as a game creation tool. Hopefully Microsoft will support running Kodu generated games on PCs, etc at some point.  The one area of Popfly that was interesting was it's mashup capabilities.  I'm hoping this will somehow be advanced by Microsoft.  But I don't see that happening until the world wide financial health is on the rebound.

This is great news. Interesting to see Zune Social and MSN as "new partners." Facebook will be an awesome addition. But I wonder what kind of deal-making goes on to get these companies on board...

2 one words:

'Finally!' and 'Fantastic'!

maybe these new contact import partners in time can become feed activities (aimed at Myspace, Hi5 and Tagged, along with Bebo)

Imageshack,us would be a good one in the imaging category that includes photobucket, flickr and (indirectly) windows live photos

along with a few of the web activities allowing more then 1 account to be imported :D

Microsoft probes my mind ... (nearly!)

if Neowin sources are right :).

Bebo is to be added 'soon' after as a contact importer

Myspace, Amazon and some non 'wave 1 & 2' 3rd party providers as web providers is coming in the autumn

- a 2H (Q3/Q4) 2009 another 'wave' of web providers (including Myspace and Amazon)

- bebo contact importer soon

Content importers (both ways):

profile.live.com/Connect

Current: Facebook & LinkedIn

By Next Week: Myspace, Hi5 and Tagged (by next week)

Soon: Bebo

Missing Big companies as Providers: Bebo [whould not rule out by late 2010 lol] but no Google and Yahoo.

I said earlier "along with a few of the web activities allowing more then 1 account to be imported :D" - Custom Blog is one of the main ones

By the way, isn't Twitter already a web activity? That isn't listed in any of this article.

Twitter been there for a while :) - must slipped Liveside minds

Twitter is mentioned in supporting sources of PressPass www.microsoft.com/.../WindowsLivePartnerList.doc and Windows Live Wire windowslivewire.spaces.live.com/.../cns!2F7EB29B42641D59!39050.entry

along with 3rd party Neowin (www.neowin.net/.../facebook-integration-coming-to-windows-live-next-week) and a couple of other places

is abit funny that they have the included the upcoming ones as current (live) services (well internally anyway) r.e. PressPass
