An article in today’s Economist, “A world of connections”, is a fairly standard recap of the popularity of social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter, with a bit of context from the World Economic Forum in Davos thrown in to make it a bit more topical.

However one of the graphics used in the piece jumped out for at least one Twitter user, where we caught it (in our Tweets! section, try it out!).  comScore has included Windows Live in its social networking lists, and look where it ranks:

Obviously Facebook is well ahead of the pack, but Windows Live ranks above MySpace and Twitter, and a number of other social networking sites.  With all the recent Wave 4 news we’ve been bringing you that seems to indicate that Windows Live will become even more oriented towards social networking, it’s good to see where Windows Live ranks now.
