@gregsedwards Rememeber google still has links at the top left and also Live.com is meant to be the portal to Windows Live and Live Search..

Not sure about Hotmail tho.. See what happens

More important Live Search needs to matter on relavance if they nail that then even with the interface people will still use it because they know they will find what they want and not go to google

Microsoft just can't keep their fingers out of their creation. Remember how clean Live.com used to look? Then the background image started creeping in, then the hotspots. Now there are a bunch of links to IE betas and Microsoft services. What's next, ads?

People like Google.com because it's clean and simple. It kind of reminds me of the "Microsoft" iPod packaging parody (see it on SoapBox: video.msn.com/video.aspx). Microsoft needs to reign this in before it gets ridiculous.
