From the post we’re able to preview some of the high-resolution screenshots of what’s to come in the new Toolbar. Here’s what Jamie had to say

re: Windows Live Toolbar – upcoming new features, Sync, SkyDrive and Favorites integration

I'm confused, does this sync my bookmarks under the favorites menu like the old favorites toolbar used to? Why would that wonderful feature be taken away? Also, does this toolbar give you to option to hide the search box? I already have one built into IE7.

I don't normally use toolbars at all, but I am willing to give this a go if there is an option to turn off the search box or something.

My concern about Windows Live Favourites is the way they can be stored and shared. Using the Live Favourites gadget on Live Spaces, I can use shared favourites to maintain a blogroll-like list of favourites I like divided into categories. I'm wondering if this will still be possible once Live Favourites migrates to SkyDrive. Using the gadget is a lot easier than putting each one into a list module.

I used Adobe Photoshop's Gaussian Blur effect to make parts of the image go fuzzy (actually any other Blur effects would do the same job, depending on how fuzzy you want it to be). But as vasudev pointed out, Paint.NET would be a good free alternative =)

And thanks for the great screenshots Jamie! Very much appreciated.

I use Gaussian Blur effect in Paint.net to make anything Fuzzy. Such effects are available in other image editing tools also.

How did you make the emails senders names "fuzzy" in that screenshot? I've been wanting to do that to mine but don't know how.

This was also useful for the old messenger button enabling me to see how many contacts I had online.

It would be even better if the preview appeared when the mouse was hovered over the button and then clicking the button took you straight to that service, otherwise you have to make two clicks to get to your inbox for example.

The interview with Brian Hall mentioned that Live Mesh and Sync shares the same kind of technology behind the scenes. And remember a while ago in an interview during PCD2008 it was said that Live Mesh technologies will be integrated into Windows Live in wave 4?

So think of Live Mesh as a way to show off what technology could do, and Windows Live is the real application of how these technologies can be used in everyday life. Of course, for a lot of us who can't wait to use the latest technologies, we're already using Live Mesh into our everyday lives. =)

Hm. I never use toolbars.

Aside from that, all I can say is: MESH!!! Will it be integrated into What's New? And how does it coexist with Sync? Why isn't MS using Mesh to sync Windows Live stuff? Is Sync better somehow?
