It was only for 5 billion, and for that Microsoft will get to own the Yahoo! search advertisement inventory for 10 years.

Yahoo offers nothing but a lower stock price for Microsoft. I'm sure there are people working at Microsoft who can improve and advertise Live Search and increase share without Steve popping for 20 billion.......

Microsoft is stupid if this is true. Search business is nice but the value is in the other Yahoo properties. 20 billion is way too much money for the whole company let alone just the search business. I might believe this if it was 20 billion to buy Yahoo outright.
