To Chris:

The original John Battelle article also states that Comcast is the one shopping around and that "Microsoft, or someone else, could buy business from Google." Nowhere in this article does it say that Microsoft is approaching Comcast about it; only that they are responding to Comcast's public request for alternatives to Google.

Comcast to switch from Google to Microsoft - more to it me thinks!

Given Google's performance in the last year, its unsurprising corporations want a larger share of the revenue from searches.

What's up with the last sentence here? The press release never said anything about Microsoft approaching Comcast. Quite the opposite, actually. And we have no information on Microsoft's bid, so there's no way to know if they're undercutting Google or not.
