@alienforever !! as I mentioned .. it never goes forward with the installation ... yesterday it took more than 30 minutes searching the installed components... and after that I close the damn thing.

I only want windows live photo gallery .. and that is not downloading when i try .. it start searchig for the installed components ... and never goes forward .. can anyone help.

Very clean and easy install.

With Live Mail, a useful feature would be for sent emails to be stored in their respective folders assigned to a recipient address.

So in the sent folder you can have easy access to all emails to a person that you've chosen to add.

There must be a faster way then using rules, bulk actions perhaps?

While you need the DLL files for WLPG, you don't need windows deskop search running. I wnet through, disbaled all setup program and disaled all services associated with windos desktop search. WLPG works fine. The only drawback is I can't search acorss the meta data of teh files, but things like search for filename wroks

I'm very impressed with the installer, it brings all the live services together nicely.

My disappointment however comes with Photo Gallery, as it secretly installs Windows Desktop search and doesn't work once desktop search in uninstalled.

Because I don't want desktop search, I won't be using Photo Gallery until it is independant.

You might think I'm picky but I don't like useless software installed on my pc!

@calum-r- I reported the installers using the old UI on Connect last month and got a reply saying "Thanks for the great feedback. We have updated the UI..check out the next beta when it releases... When? :) (SOOOON)" (but obviously it wasn't updated, *shrug*)

No, Jesper, I left the old versions on and it worked fine.

I'd like to comment on it all. It all workes fine but I was wondering why Family Safetly and the actual Windows Live Installer are still using the Wave 1 Flair user interface??

Is it because they are still in Beta?

Will they be updated to the Windows Live Wave 2 interface??

(Maybe one of the staff can reply with the answers please, because I hate inconsistencies like this lol)

Did you guys uninstall the older versions of Mail, Writer, Messenger etc. before running the WIndows Live Suite set up?
