Sweet! That would be pretty awesome. Hopefully they make it work better than their current synching efforts with Mail and Favorites though.

I hope this makes it into v1. Desktop synchronisation (perhaps like WLM shared folders?) is a must if I'm to use this service.

While this is great news, it hardly a surprise. Almost all MS services have a client app. And something like file sharing should almost obviously have a client app to complement the service. But like you said, let's hope that this is a V1 feature and not something they are simply reserving for V2.
