A demo was shown at CES in January 2007, however performance was noted to be poor and as a result there has been a 12 month delay in getting the first beta out

re: Yahoo launches Messenger for Vista

The messenger overall looks very cool..

I can not do Yahoo! phone calls from it. But not bad for the first beta.

Better bulit-in emoticons - Y! does a better job with showing real emotions.

Tabbed browsing.

And an official Sidebar or any gadget. Microsoft is really slow to work in enhancing their own integrations. Sad.

Seems pretty useless since I don't have any contacts or anything on my Yahoo! ID.
