If they did manage to include interop features it would make WLM much more usable.

All my friends use AIM so I don't use WLM for that reason.

This would make me (finally) switch over.

Lets hope this comes through.

I don't even know who actually uses Gtalk (besides Google employees), nor anybody with ICQ.

I do know a lot of teens use AIM, probably because all the other teens do, and I find the AIM client rather annoying. The ads always pop-out and make noise, and video isn't good on it. It doesn't have any games, or any special perks like WLM.

Really hope that WLM 9+ will be interoperable. Also hope to see fullscreen video chats and stuff.

This is cleaver of Microsoft. It encourages new messenger users to use Windows Live.
