As Ina Friend points out, a large number of users get MSN Premium included

re: MSN Premium a ripoff? My ISP had one broadband deal where it was 2 meg for £18.99. They then changed the deal to 2 meg for £13.99 and 8 meg for £18.99. I was still paying for 2 meg with £18.99.

I don't use it, but based on what I see, it's not something worth using to me.

MSN Browser is awful to use. No neat add-ons, it's not streamlined, and most of the browser is taken up by 'shortcuts' to other MSN services. As if that's what you do all day.

And security tools, photo management, and parental controls are available free from Windows Live (ie: OneCare, Live Photo Gal., OneCare Parental Controls, etc.). Most of it's free.

Microsoft should make a paid Windows Live Premium pack instead, with OneCare, Hotmail Plus, no ads, and all that other stuff for about $20-$25 a month.

MSN is becoming less used as a service, so Microsoft should be working on doing this for Windows Live instead.

Thank you very much for talking about MSN Premium :D

The article you refer to is nothing more than a hit piece. I am so very tired of commerce masked as "news" or "editorial". Pablum for the masses is all they offer anymore.
