Things like this happen all the time. My ISP had one broadband deal where it was 2 meg for £18.99. They then changed the deal to 2 meg for £13.99 and 8 meg for £18.99. I was still paying for 2 meg with £18.99.

Hotmail Plus is $20 a year, not a month. The only real feature that makes me interested in MSN Premium is the Calendar sync, but not interested enough to piss away that kind of money per year.

Have to agree, MSN Premium is seriously outdated. I don't use it, but based on what I see, it's not something worth using to me.

MSN Browser is awful to use. No neat add-ons, it's not streamlined, and most of the browser is taken up by 'shortcuts' to other MSN services. As if that's what you do all day.

And security tools, photo management, and parental controls are available free from Windows Live (ie: OneCare, Live Photo Gal., OneCare Parental Controls, etc.). Most of it's free.

Microsoft should make a paid Windows Live Premium pack instead, with OneCare, Hotmail Plus, no ads, and all that other stuff for about $20-$25 a month.

MSN is becoming less used as a service, so Microsoft should be working on doing this for Windows Live instead.

As an MSN Premium member, I still believe Microsoft can do much better to make us feel like we're actually still part of their upgrade plans. Thank you very much for talking about MSN Premium :D

I have had a MSN account since the very beginning. I have no regrets. The article you refer to is nothing more than a hit piece. I am so very tired of commerce masked as "news" or "editorial". Pablum for the masses is all they offer anymore.
