It's not just Live Favourites that's been (possibly) abandoned by MS. It appears there's lots of Live properties that haven't had any kind of real update in a very long time.

Perhaps it wouldn't be as frustrating if the teams were as open about communicating with the public as they were when the Live services first started rolling out. Now you're lucky if you get a post from a live team once a month.

btw anyone know whatever happened to Soapbox mobile uploads? Is that an abandoned project?

Windows Live should let you carry more than just IE settings with you, although that alone is a big step in the right direction. But what if, at the 7 login screen, you could log onto one of the local accounts OR with your Live ID, and it would automatically sync all your desktop preferences, gadgets, etc? That'd be pretty cool.

Things that don't make sense in those screenshots are:

a) MSN Messenger (since replaced with WLM)

b) IE11 (when IE8 still hasn't been released yet!)

c) Windows HD player (or why not have Media Player that does HD? As if it already didn't?)

d) There aren't the 3 iconic buttons in the top right of the window

And that's the most obvious things.

I would love to see Windows Live to do more things with Windows, but hope not to see crappy beta services launched, underwhelming features, and all that.
