The offcial german Windows Live Blog posted already yesterday about the update: windowsliveblog.spaces.live.com/.../cns!720E46AE746458F7!2480.entry. The notes to every picture in the list of friends are no new feature, I used them already weeks before.

Thanks for the comment. Not a typo, American slang, maybe. As in "did you ever hear of it?", not "have you ever heard of it?" ;)
