Microsoft doesn't have anything for that yet. Yes, that's right, YET! This might change on February 27th at the TED Conference in Monterey California: Microsoft To Announce

re: Earth? And he mentioned it twice recently.

Once in Interview with max on channel8 on release of DreamSpark and yesterday in his Speech at Stanford.

I find it slow and boring.

If you want to give something such a try now, get Stellarium. It's much better to use, better graphics, and it's free. It's also not notorious Googleware!

i have a goo-ple (Google + Apple) fanboy friend who has been nagging me about how GEarth is better b/c it does the sky too.

I'm betting WL Sky (sky.live.com?) does the job better.

Windows Live SkyLive? Great Title

I'll be on the lookout for the announcement that's for sure ;)

I've never used Google Sky, so I don't really know what it does well and what it does poorly. But it's always nice to see the ever-amazing Virtual Earth get some upgrades.

Of course, if this is going to be a downloadable Virtual Earth/Sky client, then we may have more to look forward to than just Sky...
