XHTML was supposed to replace HTML, but some crazy group thought it'd be fun to screw things up and create an extra format for us to choose from...

Basically, every webpage uses codes called HTML (some websites use XHTML) to put text and images etc onto the page. At the moment, HTML is HTML4.01, but soon it will be HTML5.

uh, and what exactly IS HTML5?

i really hope IE8 does well...i have a bunch of friends who say IE7 was something of a flop for them.

From what I hear, IE8 is the first browser to be HTML5 compatible. I can't wait to see how Windows Live uses HTML5.

They better make IE8 something revolutionary. I'm ok with IE7, but other browsers are just becoming more and more appealing to switch to. They better open up across more platforms as well.

But I can't wait to see how it might work with Live stuff.
