&lt;p&gt;(Thanks for reminding me about that screenshot though, I couldn't find it the other day!)&lt;/p&gt;

The checkbox to index is still ticked though...&lt;/p&gt;

Google Desktop has to be one of the most worst things to come out of Google, and there's a better solution. WDS does a pretty good job for me. You should give it a try:&lt;/p&gt;

It still doesn't find the files.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Going to try this out. Hopefully it's better, and faster from what it used to be!&lt;/p&gt;

I have been reluctant to install instant search programs on any of my XP machines because of performance problems, but after using this new beta version I have been very impressed with the performance. I do wish that it would allow you to search through non indexed folders like Vista search does.&lt;/p&gt;
