it is widely accepted, even within the windows live enthusiast community, that windows live toolbar's a load of bollocks

Well, it could be the "MSN No One Wants to Look Dumb" campaign...I know it's a far-fetch, but I've seen those ads in the most randomest places.

Even a little means something.

@Mephiles : So agree. It's crazy why anyone actually uses AOL search. It's essentially coming from Google search.

@oli.burgess : If it's not too much of a problem, Live Toolbar does what Y! essentially does. Live Toolbar has a history of your past searches, as well as suggest searches showing up as you type. It's nifty and has been there before Y! came with Search Assist. There's also search add-ons, and Flickr is one of them. So if I want Flickr results, I just type in the toolbar and press the Flickr button. Amazing, isn't it?

I'm still using Yahoo! Search simply because of the suggestions and that its image search incorporates Flickr. I'm wondering if the YHOO-MSFT deal goes through, whether they'll incorporate search assist into Rome search.
