&lt;p&gt;I think Microsoft needs a new Microsoft logo. A new modern refresh of the logo, along with better aligning of services and products with one another, might gain MS some more respect. That's where Apple gets it right. All of Apple's products have similar names, look, across all products and web pages. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;PS : I think the new Advertising logo is UGLY. I look at that, and wouldn't think advertising. More like stupid abstract art. &lt;/p&gt;

Branding and public awareness in the major issue with MS. For ex. most of the general public do not know 70% of the features that are Vista (they should learn to present the features in the way that ppl will get interested).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;PS: Xbox and Zune seems to be doing a good job in that area.&lt;/p&gt;
