At first I thought it was desperation from Microsoft, but it's not.</p> <p>Turns out Cashback is more like a service to find good rebates or discounts from their choice of online stores. You get money &quot;back&quot; depending on how much (percentage of sale) the store is wiling to offer. </p> <p>Unfortunately, many people have dismissed this on Digg thinking MS is just desperate to take search share from Google. Kinda sad how MS didn't make it more clear. If they said rebates or discount or deals really big, it might have made sense better.
