I actually though Live Search Books and Academic would stay. I thought they were pretty good in comparison with Google Books and Scholar. They were easier to use (a surprise), and seemed quite useful.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I hope they might resurrect Books and Academic. Maybe if they had added ads, and marketed the usefulness of the two, maybe they wouldn't have buckled. &lt;/p&gt;
