Awesome--I especially like "Automatic linking to terms in your link glossary."

And including a screenshot, using Writer, of you writing this post in Writer... haha... well, it made me smile.

WLW is so mature now, it might even be possible to make it a Google Docs (Writely) off-line editor. Docs essentially uses HTML to format documents, and if the correct Google Data API calls were available/used, and with some work on the WLW front, it might be able to publish documents to Docs or "sync" those documents (posts) that were created offline.

Just installed from the MSI, didn't need to uninstall the old version, it simply upgraded keeping all my old connections and plug-in's. Just the way it should be!

Wow, the additions are really cool. Though they should make it use Vista's Menu's and other controls where they can be used. The Office XP style menu's are a bit ugly in vista.

A repsponse to Khristopher's comments:

To clarify the statement made on Space Craft: the technical preview of Writer is not supporting other languages and markets at this time - and the download is only available (to everyone) in English (United States). So you, and everyone else in the world, should be able to download the technical preview - it's just going to use the "US flavor" of English for things like spell checking and language in the controls of the product.

The changes to the user-interface were made to be un-noticed and, hopefully, make some features more fluid/convenient in the flow of using Writer. If anyone out there is kicking the product around and senses otherwise, we'd love to hear from you on our forum: forums.community.microsoft.com/.../threads.

Windows Live Spaces blog is saying that it's US only, but I downloaded it with the link provided on the Windows Live Writer blog with no problems.

Also installed with no problems.

I use only EN-CA settings on my computer too. That's English Canada for you non Canadians who don't know what EN-CA means.

As for the software... well the first thing I looked for is UI changes.

Don't really see much right away. In fact it looks almost identical except for the tabs.

Major disappointment on that front as it STILL doesn't match the UI of Messenger and Mail.

If they can have the Vista-like minimize/maximize/close buttons on those programs in XP, then why not in Writer?
