I'm digging the Live Search UI, than the Windows Live UI. Though I do think they should compact the top portion of Live Maps a bit.

I actually like it... though it takes more space than the previous, it looks MUCH nicer! Like instead of using ugly text for the logo.. they actually have a logo image.. which looks much more cleaner, and overall it just looks more cleaner, and I like :)

I'm guessing the 'Live Search' branding will be different than the other 'Windows Live' services.

Personally I am finding the new UI for Maps Live, is wasting more space then the previous UI had.

Woah, talk about scary psychic connection! Just put up a post on Cashback, unfortunately I couldn't get any kind of numbers from MS about this.
