Live Messenger should automatically do this, utlising Sky Drive as the cloud storage. And Sky Drive should be merged with Live (Mesh) Desktop, but that's another story.

In fairness though, DavidK, it *is* only a "technical preview" - aimed squarely at developers and enthusiasts. The end result is most likely going to be automated and built in to Microsoft's product range - for the most part, you'll probably not even notice "Mesh" when it's up and running as a consumer product (in the same way that Homeserver works right now).

At the risk of straying a little off the topic... the fact that this technology *needs" tutorials, is what's stopping me from using it. From everything I've read, it's just the type of development I could use to keep all my devices and locations the way I want them... but right now, there are easier ways that don't deliver "unresolved conflicts".

I hope one day that it will be great!
