TBot is very useful indeed, as it helps me remember the japanese/spanish languages I studied two years ago without much window intrusion and effort, among its other useful purposes for me :)

Although it will be best if this can be consumed by applications other than IE8 and Windows Live...or am I missing something? I suppose Microsoft already had this in mind :)

You're welcome calum. The bot does indeed help when two people can not speak the same language (or just tell it the languages and have it translate whatever you need translated in a hurry). Even though it's the typical non-human translation with odd grammar/sentences an all :) That in turn is good for a giggle, we all need those too!

Accelerators are indeed a big + for IE, a feature that I've not seen in any other browser :) Even though IE8 beta 2 isn't quite there yet with the rendering, it should when it goes final.

Thanks for the post. This translation bot does look very helpful! In fact, I've added it to Windows Live Messenger (& I hardly ever add bots).

It's a shame that this 'Accelerator' thing is just for Internet Explorer. Hopefully Microsoft (or somebody else) release an extension for Firefox which lets you do this, although I doubt Microsoft would make a Firefox extension :P

I refuse to use Internet Explorer as I don't like it's rendering engine. It didn't used to display the new Facebook very well (& the blue buttons still mess up in it) & it doesn't display my MySpace as it should (or at least how Firefox, Opera, Safari & Chrome display it lol).

Even with Internet Explorer 8 Beta 2 there is no change in how it displays these elements - it is appalling for Microsoft.
